France picture section added. I really need to have it open in a new window.
6.18.2003
We are all mindless clones of a universal superculture.
6.5.2003
Two concerts. Learned Adobe Premiere. Spent 12+ hours working on French video final. Finished writing music composition and performing it after school today. I'm so tired, I could eat an elephant. Sorry, my mind isn't working right now.
5.27.2003
Ropes Course today with fellow vertigans. Yahoo! Climbing to the top of 40-foot tall telephone poles and then jumping down <-- Fun stuff, not to mention being the only pair to reach the Giant's Ladder.
5.26.2003
The Animatrix official is released on DVD on June 6th, but I've already finished watching all seven episodes. Most of the episodes contain rather shady and depressing messages concerning "our world" since everyone dies at the end of most episodes. Although the episodes provide useful information pertaining to the Matrix, none of it was absolutely vital. Only "Flight of the Osiris" and "The Kid" relate to "Matrix: Reloaded." However, The Animatrix is still a must-see for all true matrix fans.

Question from Barron's AP Environmental Science:
14) The film Erin Brockovich focused on
a) pesticide accumulation.
b) toxic landfill wates.
c) nuclear wastes.
d) clean drinking water.
e) air pollution
In case you didn't that the answer was d) drinking water, please visit the nearest blockbuster and rent the 1999 movie Erin Brokovitch starring Julia Roberts! I'm sure that we all knew that.
5.10.2003
CMEA concert today: Unanimous Superior!!! Yep, we're too good. Nantero, Inc is developing a new type of RAM: NRAM. Check it out -->
5.7.2003
Two AP's down, three/four more to go (depending on whether I feel ready to take Environ. Sci.). The first two started at 12:30, were SUPPOSED to last three hours, but ended up going past 4:30 PM. For Music Theory, everyone drew raffles to determine the order of test takers for sight singing. Luckily, I got #7 and was able to leave at 6:00pm. The guy who got #50 probably didn't go home until 8PM. So much for a three-hour long test
5.5.2003
Our guest conductor for Wind Ensemble today was Mr. Psycotic Murderer Harris from San Jose State. While conducting Symphonic Movement, he would scream, "I NEED TO KILL! I NEED TO KILL!" He'd then jump up and make stabbing movements at the flutes and clarinets. Fun stuff.
In other news, Carol is being really incessant on reminding me that I owe her ice cream. I think the whole badminton team knows by now.
5.4.2003
Eleven days left until the release of Matrix: Reloaded!!! The final trailer is out, so don't forget to download it (>100mb). On highest resolution, my computer runs every third frame.
4.23.2003
Staying at home during break is always tough for me. So far, I've had cereal for breakfast, lunch, and post-dinner snack. I'm beginning to run low on canned beef stew and instant noodles. Somebody, please buy me some real food!
4.22.2003
Disposable diapers cause 95% of all clogs in sewages. If there weren't any babies, we wouldn't have this problem.
4.21.2003
Karen is forcing us to sell magazines subscriptions and candy to raise money. Warren's already sold 20+ magazines! Me: zero, nothing, zilch, nada. I tried the bubblegum-flavored Airhead and ended up chewing on for several minutes.
4.10.2003
The systems engineer I shadowed at Caliper was awesome (DNA, PCR, electrophoresis, ~drools), not to mention that he also coaches track and field for Gunn High School. After the job shadow, I asked him to drop me off at the nearest restaurant since my dad wasn't there yet. He left me at the Veritas Corporation cafeteria, where an employee walked up to me and offered to buy me lunch. We ate together while we discussed his job. It turned out that he was also a systems engineer! It was like having 2 job shadows in 1. The strange thing is that my dad used to work at Netscape, who used to own the Veritas cafeteria.
On a lighter note, I realized that I'd been putting down all the 2003 entry dates as 2002.
LOG 4.5.2003
I received my Puschino packet today, and it seems like I'll be visiting Russia this summer. With all the anti-American sentiments, it's a great time to go abroad.
LOG 3.25.2003
If you haven't already done so, check out WhatIsTheMatrix. While your at it, download the 1st two animatrix previews.
LOG 3.23.2003
Junior Prom was wonderful--dancing, eating, and even some really bad karaoke. Thanks everyone!
Only 3 things that could have made it better:
1) Could have been longer (I missed have of prom because of an orchestra concert)
2) There should have been more slow songs (There was only 1 from the time that I arrived, and that was the last dance)
3) They could have chosen to have prom on a later date.
LOG 3.17.2003
Woke up at 6:45 A.M. for Ano Nuevo field trip to watch 500-lb Elephant seals mate on the beach. There's nothing better than the smell of fresh extra credit in the morning. We strayed within two meters of the sleeping seals. One of the newborn ones growled at Daphne and she screamed.
Mr. Babb went in the second group, so we waited an hour in the car for him to come back (to call roll). Collin circled the Civic around the parking lot because he got bored. Finally, Babb came, and we sprinted after him, but all he did was tell us to drive back. Grrr ... waiting in the car an hour for nothing. Yemen got lost and ended up driving from Santa Cruz to Half Moon Bay. It took him half an hour to get back and join us at Carrol's for lunch. I still feel sorry for giving the waitress a two dollar tip for a $43 meal.
LOG 3.05.2003
Jason is visiting from Yale this weekend. We went over to my cousin's house and played BeyBlades for over four hours. We went mad, we nearly threw up, and still, my cousin wanted us to play. Lesson to be learned: don't buy kids Beyblades.
LOG 2.04.2003
After being a member for nearly half a year, I've finally figured out my role within ECYS. This is how our time is spent:
20% Doing HW
10% Reading
5% Playing Hangman
10% Chatting
10% Waiting for Camilla while she scolds the [insert your favorite string section]
5% Napping
5% Completely Lost
5% Waching Cathy/Michel/Camilla argue
30% Acutally playing the stupid music selction
LOG 1.23.2003
Someone PLEASE record the superbowl down for me. (1) Dad returned the supercheap, supernice DVD/VHS combo. (2) Stupid ECYS rehearsal this weekend.
LOG 1.20.2003
Cathy shot me down today. Now I can either go to Junior prom or pay $100 to $150 for a replacement oboist. It's sad how ECYS demands so much from its members.
LOG 1.16.2003
Finals are finally finished. The curse has been lifted. Now I can finally get on with my life. That is, until Tuesday, when I find out my grades.
LOG 11.XX.2002
This site is HIBERNATING for the winter. ZZzzz...
LOG 09.27.2002
It's been only one months into school, yet my worst fears have already been comfirmed. The school/college system is taking over the lives of Juniors across America. Mandatory volunteer clubs are swallowing up my classmates. Many of them have disappeared within the dungeons of the new library. Where is our liberty? Is there any cause to this? I only pray that the nature of current activities will normalize within a short period.
LOG 09.08.2002
Finally, found some time to write something on here. I changed the design of the site, but it's still quite similiar. It's going to be a long time before I have enough time to do this again, thanks to PSATs and history. You can see the old version of this site here
LOG 08.31.2002
Alright, something went wrong with the image preloading on LeftLinks.html and list/TIG.html. Can anyone tell me why it's not working anymore?!! Also, what happened to my favicon.ico? It's not there anymore. This better not be Tripod's doing.
LOG 08.23.2002
Finally back in California. Zut! Too much homework to finish. Updated the mp3 section a little. Still need to update Trigun area.
LOG 08.13.2002
Alright, I'm going to be gone for the next week cuz I'm going vacationing in Paris. Seeya, Space Cowboy!!
LOG 08.12.2002
Try This:
Pick a number from 1 to 10
Multiply by 9.
Subtract 5.
Sum the digits, repeat this step until you have a one digit number.
For whatever number you have pick that letter of the alphabet.
Think of a country that begins with that letter.
Now think of an animal that begins with the second letter of the country.
Think of a color usually associated with the animal.

Yahoo changed it's 6MB e-mail storage to 4MB and I'm ¤$*µ§! pissed off. Free email service is getting worse and worse. If you know any good free email providers, tell me, Okay?
LOG 08.07.2002
I updated the Trigun gallery today. It's really small and I have trouble finding a good design for it. I also have an older gallery hidden here somewhere...
LOG 08.05.2002
While looking at the license plates of Lyon cars, I noticed that they were all in the format #### LL 69, four numbers followed by two letters and "69." The French are something.
LOG 08.01.2002
The second month anniversary of this web page. Click on July to see the old news.
LOG 7.31.2002
It's so hot in France... I can't understand why our lab can afford a liquid nitrogen chamber but not air conditioning.
LOG 7.28.2002
My cousin, Jason, from LA is going to visit my cousins in San Diego, but my cousins in San Diego are at my house, but I'm in France visiting my cousins there, but my cousin in France has gone to visit my cousin in China. None of this was expected.
LOG 7.25.2002
I spent my whole morning chatting with MV people. Crazy how they're still up at 5:00 AM. I just found out that I wrote all my dates the European way. Too lazy to go back and change all of them....
LOG 25.7.2002
I added several new sections to this site the last several days, but I've been too lazy to update the news. I'm stuck in France for another month, so it will be difficult for me to get any web work done. Lab work has been fine until recently, when a massive DNA contamination occured while I was preparing for PCR. I had to change over 100€ worth of solutions and materials just to clean up the mess. You guys in America should be happy cuz I'm working while you lazy people are sleeping.
LOG 17.7.2002
Nothing special. I prepared RNA samples for RT-PCR at the lab. ZZZZ....
LOG 15.7.2002
The fireworks display yesterday wasn't so bad, but we had to wait from 8PM to 10PM for the stupid choir to stop singing and the explosions to begin. Many of the Lyonese kids owned their own mini-fireworks and were lighting them on the street in front of cars to piss them off.
LOG 14.7.2002
The monitor blew out when I was working on it the last time I updated this page. It didn't short circuit and I couldn't have overloaded the graphics card that quickly (I think), so I really can't figure out what went wrong. The next day, we bought a new one at FNAC. For monitor freaks, it's a .27mm dot pitch, 17" écran that runs at 60 Hz @ 1200x1024 resolution. Not bad for a €199 French écran.
Lab work resumed yesterday after one week of vacationing in Ornon. It's not always busy, and so far, I'm only doing the easy work, like gel electrophoresis. That means more time for updating this site. Hehe.
Today also happens to be Bastille Day, so I'll be watching fireworks in the rain tonight. §Fun§.
LOG 12.7.2002
It's good to be back in Lyon. The countryside was full of flies and I really didn't have anything to do there. Time to get started on the computer.
LOG 11.7.2002
I've been in France for the past 1 week and the French people don't seem willing as they do in the movies. I came for the purpose of spending quality time away from my parents and with my two French cousins. They're really kind but end up being quite annoying cuz they run around in the house all the time. So far, I have spent one week in the countryside living in a 'gite' that is equiped with a television with six channels as the only source of entertainment. This letter is being written in the owner's room. He doesn't know, but in France, one must do as the French do. I miss my home. I want to go back and hug my computer. Oh well, at least I'll be in the city all next week.
LOG 10.7.2002
Hey everyone, I finally decided to put some information on this site for the first time. I've had this account for over a year now but it's been in hibernation for the entire time. As of right now, there's still just about nothing on this site. All of the links on the left frame are dead, and there's nothing really useful for anyone to read. I plan to update this web site at least tzice a month cuz I'm kinda busy rite now in France. There's so much to be done when all I wish is for a good night's sleep. ~Sigh~ Time to go back to work...
