LOG 2.04.2003

After being a member for nearly half a year, I've finally figured out my role within ECYS. This is how our time is spent:

20% Doing HW
10% Reading
5% Playing Hangman
10% Chatting
10% Waiting for Camilla while she scolds the [insert your favorite string section]
5% Napping
5% Completely Lost
5% Waching Cathy/Michel/Camilla argue
30% Acutally playing the stupid music selction

LOG 1.23.2003

Someone PLEASE record the superbowl down for me. (1) Dad returned the supercheap, supernice DVD/VHS combo. (2) Stupid ECYS rehearsal this weekend.

LOG 1.20.2003

Our orchestra directory, Cathy, shot down my request today. Now I can either go to Junior prom or pay $100 to $150 for a replacement oboist.

LOG 1.16.2003

Finals are finally finished. The curse has been lifted. Now I can finally get on with my life. That is, until Tuesday, when I find out my grades.

LOG 11.XX.2002

This site is HIBERNATING for the winter. ZZzzz...

LOG 09.27.2002

It's been only one months into school, yet my worst fears have already been confirmed. The school/college system is taking over the lives of Juniors across America. Mandatory volunteer clubs are swallowing up my classmates. Many of them have disappeared within the dungeons of the new library. Where is our liberty? Is there any cause to this? I only pray that the nature of current activities will normalize within a short period.

LOG 09.08.2002

Finally found some time to update this site. I changed the design slightly. It's going to be a long time before I have enough time to do this again, thanks to PSATs and history. You can see the old version of this site here

LOG 08.23.2002

Finally back in California. Zut! Too much homework to finish. Updated the mp3 section a little. Still need to update Trigun area.

LOG 08.13.2002

Alright, I'm going to be gone for the next week cuz I'm going vacationing in Paris. Seeya, Space Cowboy!!

LOG 08.08.2002

Yahoo changed it's 6MB e-mail storage to 4MB and I'm ¤$*µ§! pissed off. Free email service is getting worse and worse. If you know any good free email providers, tell me, Okay?

LOG 08.05.2002

While looking at the license plates of Lyon cars, I noticed that they were all in the format #### LL 69, four numbers followed by two letters and "69." The French are something.

LOG 08.01.2002

The second month anniversary of this web page. Click on July to see the old news.

LOG 7.31.2002

It's so hot in France... I can't understand why our lab can afford a liquid nitrogen chamber but not air conditioning.

LOG 7.28.2002

My cousin, Jason, from LA is going to visit my cousins in San Diego, but my cousins in San Diego are at my house, and I'm in France visiting my cousins there while my cousins in France have gone to visit my cousin in China. Obviously, none of this was expected.

LOG 7.25.2002

I spent my whole morning chatting with MV people. Crazy how they're still up at 5:00 AM. I just found out that I wrote all my dates the European way. Too lazy to go back and change all of them....

LOG 25.7.2002

I added several new sections to this site the last several days, but I've been too lazy to update the news. I'm stuck in France for another month, so it will be difficult for me to get any web work done. Lab work has been fine until recently, when a massive DNA contamination occured while I was preparing for PCR. I had to change over 100€ worth of solutions and materials just to clean up the mess. You guys in America should be happy cuz I'm working while you lazy people are sleeping.

LOG 17.7.2002

Nothing special. I prepared RNA samples for RT-PCR at the lab. ZZZZ....

LOG 15.7.2002

The fireworks display yesterday wasn't so bad, but we had to wait from 8PM to 10PM for the stupid choir to stop singing and the explosions to begin. Many of the Lyonese kids owned their own mini-fireworks and were lighting them on the street in front of cars to piss them off.

LOG 14.7.2002

The monitor blew out when I was working on it the last time I updated this page. It didn't short circuit and I couldn't have overloaded the graphics card that quickly (I think), so I really can't figure out what went wrong. The next day, we bought a new one at FNAC. For monitor freaks, it's a .27mm dot pitch, 17" écran that runs at 60 Hz @ 1200x1024 resolution. Not bad for a €199 French écran.

Lab work resumed yesterday after one week of vacationing in Ornon. It's not always busy, and so far, I'm only doing the easy work, like gel electrophoresis. That means more time for updating this site. Hehe.

Today also happens to be Bastille Day, so I'll be watching fireworks in the rain tonight. §Fun§.

LOG 12.7.2002

It's good to be back in Lyon. The countryside was full of flies and I really didn't have anything to do there. Time to get started on the computer.

LOG 11.7.2002

I've been in France for the past 1 week and the French people don't seem willing as they do in the movies. I came for the purpose of spending quality time away from my parents and with my two French cousins. They're really kind but end up being quite annoying cuz they run around in the house all the time. So far, I have spent one week in the countryside living in a 'gite' that is equipped with a television with six channels as the only source of entertainment. I miss my home. I want to go back and hug my computer. Oh well, at least I'll be in the city all next week.

LOG 10.7.2002

Hey everyone, I finally decided to put some information on this site for the first time. I've had this account for over a year now but it's been in hibernation for the entire time. As of right now, there's still just about nothing on this site. All of the links on the left frame are dead, and there's nothing really useful for anyone to read. I plan to update this web site at least twice a month cuz I'm kinda busy rite now in France. There's so much to be done when all I wish is for a good night's sleep. ~Sigh~ Time to go back to work...
